Yell says customers ‘frozen’ with fear

Small businesses in the UK and the US are “frozen” with fear of economic uncertainty, Yell said on Tuesday.

John Condron, chief executive of the directories publisher, said it would cut costs as customers became increasingly indecisive about spending. It would shed about 9 per cent of its 13,900 global workforce.
