Amlin investment returns reduced by credit crunch

Interim profits at Amlin, the insurer that operates through Lloyd’s of London and offshore in Bermuda, fell by more than a quarter due to lower investment returns.

However, the company raised its interim dividend as it insisted the quality of its premium income and underwriting performance across most leading business lines remained robust.
