The sky has turned grey, a storm is throwing down hailstones the size of grapes and Carlos Slim, who sits at a large dining table at one of his houses in a wealthy neighbourhood of Mexico City, is struggling with his mobile phone.
"I don't know how to do this," he tells the Financial Times in an interview.
