German car sales plunge sharply

Car sales in Germany, Europe’s biggest car market, dropped sharply in November, further bleakening the prospects for the crisis-stricken industry.

New car registrations fell nearly 18 per cent, keeping the German economy on track for the worst year of sales since the country’s reunification in 1990.
