Sun deal could face regulatory hurdles

As a major customer and regulator, the US government is likely to take a close interest in a takeover of Sun Microsystems.

The company’s Solaris operating system, considered by many to be the most robust and secure system of its type, has a prominent role in federal IT, including in important security applications.
