Cobham buys US group

Cobham, the defence and aerospace group, is increasing its presence in the US national security market through the acquisition of Argotek, a privately owned provider of high-end information services to the US intelligence community, for $36.25m.

The acquisition is Cobham’s fourth in the surveillance and security markets and will add technical depth and a bigger customer base. It builds on the purchase of the Washington-based Sparta last year.
