Advertising watchdog urges more responsibility on net

The chairman of the Advertising Standards Authority has called on companies to be more responsible in website claims about pricing and availability following a surge in complaints.

The ASA's annual report, published today, reveals that last year internet advertising garnered the secondlargest number of complaints by media, after television - overtaking the national press for the first time, and reflecting the shift in advertising budgets.
