Hamas is nearing victory in its war against Israel, Ismail Haniya, head of the Islamist movement’s government in the Gaza Strip, said on Monday, reports AFP.

“We are approaching victory,” he said in a televised address on the 17th day of Israel’s offensive that has so far killed more than 900 Palestinians.
