Dealmaker Palley to quit BC Partners

BC Partners will lose one of its most experienced dealmakers when Simon Palley retires as managing partner of the UK-based private equity firm at the end of this month.

Mr Palley’s departure after 17 years at BC Partners came as a surprise to people outside the firm who know him. Some said it highlighted the difficulties for private equity firms in keeping their best dealmakers happy after they had made fortunes.
