Murdoch seeks Dow Jones subscription rise

News Corporation is to increase subscription revenues from Dow Jones by more than $300m a year for the next three years, Rupert Murdoch said on Wednesday as he spelled out his hopes to cut the group’s reliance on “old media” advertising.

“We’re not interested in buying any more newspapers,” the News Corp chairman and chief executive said.
