Nafta: Benefits far outshine failings and spats

Talk to almost anyone in Mexico, and they will tell you that the North American Free Trade Agreement (Nafta), the accord that binds Mexico with the US and Canada, has been a good thing overall.

Celebrating its 15th birthday this year, Nafta has placed consumer goods, such as washing machines and microwaves within reach of ordinary Mexicans, most of whom could only have dreamt of affording these items before.
