Buffett, bail-outs and risk posed by behemoths

In the animated short film that opened Berkshire Hathaway’s annual shareholders meeting, Warren Buffett, long-time business partner Charles Munger and fellow billionaire Bill Gates meet for lunch at Dairy Queen, form the Financial Independence party and persuade Mr Munger to run for president.

Mr Munger’s cabinet, the candidate explains to legendary news anchor Walter Cronkite, would of course include Mary See, founder of See’s Candies, owned by Berkshire, and the gecko immortalised in advertisements for Geico, another portfolio company.
