Casinos take a bet on Macao

Just as homeowners are always on the look-out for good contractorsbuilders, so Bill Weidner, president of US casino operator Las Vegas Sands, found a feng shuimaster through a referral from a friend, Wing Chao, who is a head of design at Walt ­Disney.

Las Vegas Sands wanted advice on the layout of its $260m Sands Macao casino, the first foreign casino to open on Macao, the tiny island that is Asia’s gambling hub.
