Disney to give $7m to forest projects

Walt Disney has formed a partnership with several environmental charities to invest in forestry conservation projects in South America and Africa, one of a series of moves by US companies to boost their green credentials ahead of next month’s Copenhagen summit on climate change.

Disney has invested $7m in forestry projects in the Amazon, the Congo and the US after striking deals with Conservation International, the Nature Conservancy and the Conservation Fund.
