George Osborne, a leading opposition spokesman for the British Conservative party, has set out in stark terms what the management consultancy industry should expect from its public and private sector clients in the coming months.
“In the private sector when times are tough you take out the overheads,” he told the Conservative party conference this autumn. “The consultants are sent packing ... Government should do the same.”
