Authorities to make ‘example’ of rioters

Hadi turned 18 on June 12, the day of Iran’s presidential election, and he cast his vote for the first time in his life.

Three days later he left his house in central Tehran in the evening and joined friends on the streets, where groups of young men and women were gathering for daily and nightly protests against the declared re-election of President Mahmoud Ahmadi-Nejad.
