Sir Alan Sugar, the technology entrepreneur, has quietly built up one of Britain's biggest property portfolios, a new survey has found.

The businessman, soon to hit our screens on a reality TV show called The Apprentice, has a large proportion of his £703m fortune in bricks and mortar, according to the Estates Gazette rich list.
