Minister pledges to push through law on corporate manslaughter

Plans to make it easier to prosecute companies after fatal accidents will "absolutely" be implemented before the end of this parliament, the minister responsible has told the Financial Times.

Unions have voiced concern about delays to a new law on corporate manslaughter, which was proposed by the government within days of the 1997 Southall train crash and promised again in the 2001 and 2005 manifestos.
