BT Group breathed a sigh of relief as Ofcom steered clear of calling for a break-up of the monopoly telecommunications operator on Thursday.

But the communications regulator laid down strong demands for BT to change its internal behaviour so that it treated rivals the same as its consumer division, BT Retail.
