The new hazards we face in the quest for 'security'

Some people devote their lives - and huge sums of money - to finding cures for common diseases. Some take up roles as ambassadors for various aid agencies. And some generously give their expertise (and more cash) to preserve forests in Indonesia, or protect large mammals from being dried out and turned into aphrodisiacs. For my part, I've decided to start a new foundation for human rights.

While this might sound like a crowded market to move into, I'm thinking of a new agency that is fully focused on the rights of an increasingly marginalised, abused and forgotten group of people. There are various pressure groups that try their best to lobby for this group's better treatment and a couple of UN-sanctioned agencies attempt to guarantee a basic framework for fair treatment, but it's not enough.
