Little progress at WTO talks despite US aid offer

The US on Wednesday announced a doubling of its aid-for-trade budget to $2.7bn a year by 2010 as part of a proposed development package under negotiation at this week?s World Trade Organisation meeting in Hong Kong.?

The move followed similar announcements over the past few days by the European Union and Japan.
