Gala hits out at gambling climbdown

Gala, the privately owned bingo group, has criticised the government's climbdown on gambling liberalisation.

The company, once touted as a beach-head for an invasion of Las Vegas casinos into the UK, is the first within the industry to withdraw publicly its support for the changes to the 40-year-old gambling laws.
