FT is delighted to be supporting a seasonal appeal on behalf of Camfed International, a British-based charity dedicated to educating girls from poor backgrounds in Africa. The classroom can be a powerful catalyst for social and economic change.
Girls - traditionally excluded from African schools in favour of boys - are likely to produce healthier and better educated children if they have been to school. Camfed believes girls’ education is the “quickest route to alleviating poverty in Africa.”
