Fruitful: banks and fund managers have launched ‘breakfast baskets’

Commodities have for years been an investment niche. The few adventurous ones pouring money into raw materials mostly picked safe bets such as oil, gold, silver and, maybe, some base metals. Only a minority strayed into agricultural and soft commodities, such as wheat or cotton.
