Mexico imposes price controls on food

Mexico’s centre-right government on Wednesday announced the widest range of price controls in more than a decade in an attempt to curb rising food prices.

The price of 150 basic food stuffs, including processed beans, cooking oil, tinned tuna and fruit juices, have been frozen with immediate effect, until the end of the year.
