Thames Gateway project chief quits

Ministers were facing more embarrassment over the massive Thames Gateway regeneration project on Tuesday after Judith Armitt stood down as chief executive barely one year into the job.

Ms Armitt’s departure from the Thames Gateway Delivery Unit had been the subject of rumour as early as last week among those connected with Europe’s largest regeneration project.
