Deutsche Post to take over Exel in £3.7bn deal

Deutsche Post, Europe's biggest postal service, on Monday announced an agreed takeover of Exel that values the UK logistics company at about £3.7bn ($6.7bn).

Both boards approved the deal at the weekend to create the world's biggest logistics group with a workforce of about 500,000 and combined revenues last year of €52bn ($63bn).
