Investors in emerging markets get wake-up call

Dubai’s debt woes are forcing emerging market investors worldwide to reassess some core assumptions.

Analysts and investment strategists warn that the potential failure of Dubai World – a company seen as government-backed – was a wake-up call for investors to look again at other quasi-sovereign companies.
