John Wood Group, a leading oil services provider, insisted it could lift turnover and profits into next year regardless of any softening of the oil price, after it beat forecasts for interim profits and raised earnings guidance.
Pre-tax profits at the Aberdeen-based company rose 46 per cent to $181m ($124m) as revenues advanced 19 per cent to $2.52bn ($2.11bn) in the six months to June 30.
