A series of bomb attacks rocked Baghdad and elsewhere on Friday, killing more than 20 people and injuring dozens of others, just a day after parliament approved a new cabinet following weeks of damaging political wrangling.
The attacks indicate the challenges facing the administration, after pledges that its priorities would be removing the climate of fear over Iraq and speeding reconstruction efforts. There have been concerns that delays in forming the government created a political vacuum and emboldened insurgents.
