Beijing Olympics torch lit amid protests

The risk that the Beijing Olympics could become a public relations disaster for the Chinese government was underlined on Monday when three protesters breached heavy security and briefly interrupted the torch lighting ceremony in Greece.

One of the protesters, who were from the Paris-based media group Reporters Without Borders, was able to get behind a senior Chinese official while he was giving a speech and unfurl a banner, before he was dragged away by police.
