Brussels closes antitrust case on ‘roaming’

European Union antitrust authorities closed on Wednesday long-running investigations into Vodafone and two other big mobile phone companies that allegedly charged excessive international call fees.

The decision to draw a line under the high-profile cases is unusual because EU competition regulators rarely stop such inquiries without either securing a settlement or imposing a fine.
