Star fund manager Anthony Bolton used his departing speech from Fidelity’s flagship Special Situations fund last month to warn of an impending crash in the equities market.

Mr Bolton indicated that he was selling financial stocks and indicated he was even going so far as to “short” the market ahead of what he predicted could be a significant correction.
