Russia warns on US-Czech missile shield

Russia warned on Tuesday night that it would be forced to make a military response if elements of the planned US missile defence system began to be deployed in the Czech Republic.

The warning came after the US and the Czech Republic signed a new agreement to site a radar base in the former Soviet bloc country as part of a planned extension of the missile defence shield to central Europe.
