€73m loss forces shift for Sony Ericsson

The head of Sony Ericsson on Friday said that he did not expect the mobile phone manufacturer to return to profit in 2009 after it reported a net loss of €73m ($96.7m) for last year.

Dick Komiyama, president of Sony Ericsson, also confirmed a change of strategy by saying that the company would seek to get back to profit by focusing on making higher-priced mobiles.
