Rolls-Royce snubs UK site

Rolls-Royce has rebuffed a last-ditch attempt by the government to stop it building its new testing facility in Germany rather than locating it in Derby, the home of the aircraft engine maker.

After months of negotiations, the company has decided to build the new mechanical, material, vibration and test facility at Dahlewitz, near Berlin, after the Germans offered more money to secure the project.
