Experian in line despite subprime woes

Difficult trading conditions in the US subprime mortgage market and the UK consumer credit industry were among “challenges” Experian Group faced during the first quarter of its financial year.

However, the credit checking, data and marketing group said on Thursday it was pleased with the start to the year, with underlying sales up 7 per cent at constant exchange rates.
