Criminals target online banking

Online banking is now used by more than half of all those who access the internet, but the rise has prompted increasingly aggressive tactics from criminals.

Over 21m adults in the UK now access their bank accounts via the internet, and figures released by Apacs, the UK payments association, show that the number of adults using internet banking products has risen by more than 500 per cent in seven years.
