Debt advisers warn of rise in repossessions

Borrowers with subprime mortgages are finding it increasingly difficult to service their debt, prompting fears that there could be a surge in home repossessions next year.

Debt advice organisations have seen a sharp rise in the number of calls from subprime borrowers concerned they can no longer meet their mortgage payments.
