Personal view online: Fiction highlights the facts about Web 2.0

A character called Jane Moneymaker made one of the biggest impressions in our collection of articles on Web 2.0 and what it means for business – even though she is entirely fictional.

One of the features in our Personal View Online series (read them all at www.ft.com/digitalbusiness/web2.0) was an extract from Mesh Collaboration, a book by Andy Mulholland of Capgemini and Nick Earle of Cisco, which uses fictional companies and characters to chart the transformation of two companies from traditional vertically integrated businesses to being providers of services and using Web 2.0 tools to collaborate with customers, who start to look more like partners.
