Paris will press for time to balance budget

France will next week press its European partners for more "margin for manoeuvre" in balancing its budget so that it can implement profound structural reforms to raise its long-term growth rate.

But France still wants a broader dialogue on closer economic co-ordination across the eurozone touching on fiscal, monetary, and exchange rate policy.
