IEA eases fears of crude supply disruptions

Crude oil and US natural gas prices fell on Thursday after the International Energy Agency moved to calm the market’s fears over potential supply disruptions from tropical storm Gustav.

The energy watchdog of the developed world said strategic oil stocks would be released if Gustav caused sufficient disruption to oil and gas production in the Gulf of Mexico.
