The two high-profile rulings from the High Court yesterday - the one involving Max Mosley and the other concerning social networking website Facebook - have cast a spotlight on some of the more contentious aspects of media law.
As old and new media alike vie for attention in a crowded marketplace, they are running up against Britain's established reputation as a favourable jurisdiction for libel lawsuits, on the one hand, but also its expanded interpretation of European privacy laws on the other.
