Doubts that small business will gain

Allan Tyler, who runs Rod Waspe, a stationery shop and wholesalers in Rugby, was sceptical whether banks would pass on the interest rate cut to small businesses, writes Jonathan Guthrie .

"I think the reduction is very good, but how much of it we will get is another question," he said, "Taxpayers are bailing out banks that are responding by refusing to co-operate."
