Russia launches purge on beer

A Russian proposal to ban outdoor beer sales sent brewery shares tumbling on Tuesday.

Carlsberg, which is the biggest producer of beer in Russia, making the ubiquitous Baltika brand, saw its shares fall 3.7 per cent in trading in Copenhagen. About 40 per cent of Carlsberg’s group profits are in Russia.
