Kingfisher reaps benefit of sunny skies

Sunny skies have brought cheer to Kingfisher, which beat profit consensus forecasts for its first quarter on the back of strong sales of barbecues and gardening paraphernalia at B&Q.

Revealing the first quarter of underlying sales growth at his British division in more than two years, Ian Cheshire put much of his success down to warm weather.
