Citi launches third party clearing on SGX

Citi Securities and Fund Services, a unit of Citibank, on Monday said it had launched “third party clearing” services on SGX, the Singapore exchange, in the latest sign of the growth in the securities clearing business.

Third party clearing is a service that allows traders to have their trades cleared when they connect to an exchange using an existing exchange member’s trading privileges – so-called “direct market access”.
