Collins Stewart signals optimism

Collins Stewart struck a cautiously optimistic note about market conditions after announcing a first-half profit and a round of appointments to strengthen its corporate broking and securities businesses.

Revenues across the stockbroker’s four divisions totalled £95.3m, about the same as last year when adjusted for non-recurring items and broadly in line with analysts’ estimates.
