Microsoft to take on BlackBerry

Microsoft on Monday moved to capture a slice of the corporate mobile e-mail market by challenging the dominance of the BlackBerry, the hand-held device used by millions of bankers, lawyers and corporate executives.

The US-based software giant said it would offer free upgrades to customers using its latest e-mail server software, enabling them to send messages automatically to mobile phones running on Microsoft software.
