The man behind Donington Park’s plans to stage next year’s British Grand Prix said he was confident of raising the £135m bond needed to fund the renovation of the circuit ahead of a final deadline on Friday.

Simon Gillett, chief executive of Donington Ventures, will hold another investor roadshow today with fundraisers Citigroup, hoping to convince enough investors to take up portions of the bond offering issued last week.
